Annual Conclave on Shaping India’s Urban Agenda 2017

Our fourth annual conclave on Shaping India’s Urban Agenda was held in New Delhi on the 3rd March’ 17. Entitled ‘Shaping India’s Urban Agenda: New Cities & Smart Cities’, the conclave explored how the new and satellite cities along with smart cities, can drive job growth and prosperity. It also explored how such cities can be financed sustainably. The conclave was graced by the presence of significant luminaries from Government, senior bureaucrats from the ‘new’ and the ‘smart’ cities.

Mr. Manish Sisodia, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister, Govt. of National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi, opened the conclave deliberating what a smart city truly means. The Inaugural address was delivered by Mr. Amitabh Kant, CEO, NITI Aayog.

The conclave has been witness to meaningful views and insights from government officials, political leaders and senior bureaucrats on how urban planning, citizen participation, transparency and financial resources are key to shaping India’s urban agenda!
