Bala Janaagraha National Civic Fest 2017

The series of Bala Janaagraha Civic Fests reached its culmination, with school children from across India showcasing their stupendous work at the National Civic Fest 2017 held on 11th February. This year the National Civic Fest was graced presence of the Municipal Commissioner of Bengaluru- Manjunath Prasad as the Chief Guest. We had Mr. Rudramuni B, Executive Director, Head of Dell India R&D and Mrs. Mala Ramadorai in the panel to adjudge the winner.

Civic Projects presented by all four schools- St Kabir School, Ahmedabad, West Zone, Oasis International School, Bengaluru, St. Michael’s School, Ranchi and the winners of National Civic Fest 2017- Doon Valley School, Lucknow, North exhibited the impact of how in-depth civic learning at schools on helps students to understand, speculate and take ownership of civic issues facing their neighbourhoods. This is exactly how Bala Janaagraha puts to action what it envisions to achieve- transforming today’s children into active citizens of tomorrow.  The wonderful efforts by students drive us to continuously invest in the future citizenry of our democracy!
