With their wide ranging expertise in supporting and leading change in various regions around the world, they share best practices, connect us with key change makers and help us streamline our processes to reach our goals in the most efficient way.
Omidyar Network
Omidyar Network is a philanthropic investment firm dedicated to harnessing the power of markets to create opportunity for people to improve their lives. They invest in and help scale innovative organizations to catalyze economic, social, and political change.
In 2010-11, Janaagraha received a $3 million grant, from Omidyar Network, to be released over the course of three years. Janaagraha thus became the first non US organisation to receive an Omidyar Network grant.
Dell Youth Learning
Dell Youth Learning has been a long-time partner with Janaagraha, having supported us generously with funds and equipment over the past three years. We have been able to release the Bala Janaagraha activity book, e-module and the new version of the Bala Janaagraha curriculum through their generosity.
Infosys
We have received tremendous support from Infosys both monetarily and in terms of strengthening our processes. Infosys has generously granted Rs. 3 crore to our Corpus fund
Ruane Cunniff & Goldfarb
Ruane Cunniff and Goldfarb is an investment firm based out of New York City. They have contributed a significant amount of money for our Corpus fund.
Janaagraha has employed the strategy of building institutional partnerships with a significant degree of success. Institutional Partners have worked with us particularly in the area of cause-related marketing. Two partners who immediately come to mind are Tata Tea and the Times of India.
Tata Tea
Tata Tea partnered with us to market our hugely successful Jaago Re! campaign to get India’s youth to vote in national elections.
Times of India
The Times of India partnered and funded the WII program of Janaagraha, through which intensive data was gathered on the field. This data was then marketed and published by the Times of India through the Bangalore Patrol campaign.
Janaagraha has always been fortunate to have a lot of support from like-minded individual donors who have lent us their time, vision and resources from time to time. These are people who are thought-leaders and visionaries in their fields. This support has been critical to us for overcoming the challenges we have faced on the ground.
Sudha Murthy and Narayan Murthy
Sudha and Narayan Murthy have both been unendingly generous with both their time and expertise for our various programs. They have both contributed generously from their personal funds as well as guided us in streamlining our process delivery.
Ashish Dhawan
Ashish Dhawan is a renowned venture capitalist who is a long-time supporter of Janaagraha. He has not only contributed funds for various programs of Janaagraha, but is also actively involved with the organization as a board member.
Sridhar Iyengar
Sridhar Iyengar is a long-time supporter of Janaagraha. Living in Silicon Valley, he is a Partner, Bessemer Capital. He is also on the boards of ICICI and America-India Foundation. He is also a board member at Janaagraha and is helping us reach out to Indian diaspora in the USA.
