Partnerships
Two of our reliable sources for volunteers are academic institutions and companies. Many colleges and academic institutions have entered into formal relationships with Janaagraha, sending their students for constructive work in the social arena. Companies too, engage in strategic relationships for their corporate social responsibility related programmes.

M.S.Ramaiah Institute of Management thus was founded in the year 1995.
The institution, during its 9th years of still infant stage, has turned out several post graduate and competent business administrators and managers, many of them having made their mark as top grade professional managers, administrators and consultants.
Annually MSRIM send 120 students to undergo a month of internship at Janaagraha. They have participated in the ward vision campaign conducting surveys, in a voter list verification campaign, in collecting information from local communities and service providers to enable streamlining of our grassroots projects.
Convergence Institute of Media [COMMITS] Bangalore
Commits is managed by the Commits Educational and Charitable Trust, Bangalore, set up to offer quality higher education in the areas of media, management and information technology.
COMMITS regularly makes available students who assist in communication and design work, print and visual documentation for many of our programs and activities

Bangalore University
Bangalore University started as a nucleus of Science centers of the Mysore University, it was endowed with the status of an University in 1964. Though originally intended to be a Federal University comprising of leading institutions of higher education in the city, it eventually emerged as an affiliating University. The Bangalore University still commands a student strength of nearly three lakhs! As many as 375 Colleges and over 70 Post Graduate departments, making it the largest University in India, perhaps in Asia, may be in the world.
Post graduate students from the Social Work stream have assisted in conducting surveys toward developing a Civic Literacy Index under the Research initiative

Communication students have volunteered in documentation and reporting for many campaigns of Janaagraha and also in the community space. They have also assisted in content development for the inhouse newsletter

A new partnership has been forged with Janaagraha and the York Internship Program to avail of graduate /undergraduate students’ intern for a period of two months every year. The York University International Internship Program (YIIP) provides both York undergraduate and graduate students a non-credit opportunity to apply their academic knowledge to an international work environment and enhance their job-related skills in an international and intercultural setting.
SP Jain Institute of Management, Center for DOCC, Mumbai
Center for the Development of Corporate Citizenship [DOCC] has been established in the year 2001 to assist the Institute in its social responsibilities. This is a full time social wing of the Institute which has full time faculty and research associates and consultants working on various social projects and Corporate Citizenship programs
Students regularly intern for two months every year. They have worked in communications and finance in the Jalamitra project and in the community space by participating in the voter verification campaign

AIESEC is the world's largest student-managed, non-profit educational organisation. It provides interns from across the world for temporary assignments in companies and NGOs in India.
