IMPLEMENTATION

The Bala Janaagraha programme is implemented by Janaagraha with the support of schools, teachers, community members, corporate volunteers and parents. The programme coordinator and assistant programme coordinators are responsible for planning, designing and implementing the programme along with a core team of ward coordinators who are the representatives of their ward association or federation from each of the participating wards.

Each ward coordinator is in charge of coordinating the programme in their ward with the help of community members, corporate volunteers and parents who are designated as the school and class coordinators. The team comprising of ward, school and class coordinators are primarily responsible for the execution of the programme in the ward. They are in charge of working out logistics and the actual implementation of the programme in the schools.

Their responsibilities are:

• Coordination with Schools.
  • Along with Janaagraha, meet with the school administration of 3-10 schools in the ward and signup the schools for this program.
  • Arrange for the M.o.U. to be signed by the school principals/heads.
  • Conduct a presentation program for the school staff and children to introduce Bala Janaagraha. This is done at the school level for all schools in the ward.
  • Convey information to schools and parents. Consent letters, updates, reports etc.
  • Co-ordinate teacher’s centralized training including all logistics

• Event Management.
  • Training program for teachers from participating schools held at ward level.
  • Bring together of parents of particular schools in a school/ward to create awareness.
  • Ward-level exhibition at the end of the program and the event logistics.

• Field Work
  • Handle the logistics of pick up and drop off of children to/from school for the necessary sessions. Coordinate with the transportation facility.
  • Creating student groups and assignment of group leaders.
  • 1 Field trip. Handle the logistics of pickup and drop-off. Coordination with Govt. & Corporate facility staff.
  • 4 civic project sessions. Planning and implementation with children.
• Coordination with Janaagraha
  • Coordinate program administration with Janaagraha. Exchange of materials and information between Janaagraha, communities and schools.
  • Reports of data collected and of student activities to Janaagraha
  • Coordination of finances
  • Co-ordination with Ernst and Young and other Partners
