Voter Awareness Campaign for employees of Edelweiss, Mumbai

In the pretext of Mumbai’s run-up to the Municipal Corporation elections 2017, the city witnessed intensive campaigning and heightened political drama. To aid and add to the spirit, Janaagraha conducted an awareness drive called the ‘Get Inked’ campaign at two Edelweiss venues in the city.

The core intent of the campaign was to spread awareness about the importance of voting at civic levels, as it is the Municipal Corporation which is responsible for basic amenities and service delivery to citizens alongside introducing them to the newly launched civic-tech platform in the city to report civic issues- I Change My City, Mumbai. A total of 805 Employees of Edelweiss registered on ICMyC platform during the campaign.

It was a very well timed opportunity to engage with Edelweiss and we thank them for it. It is encouraging to see that the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation elections ended on a high note with a record turnout of 52.17 per cent at the polling booths.
