Hardeep Singh Puri is a 1974 batch Indian Foreign Service officer who served as the Permanent Representative of India to the United Nations from 2009 to 2013. Mr Puri currently serves as the Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs in the Government of India. He holds the record as the longest serving Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs in history.

Ramesh Ramanathan is a social entrepreneur who works on urban issues in India. Prior to his social initiatives, Ramesh held leadership positions with Citibank in New York and London, in the bank’s capital markets business. Ramesh has an MS in Physics from BITS Pilani, an MBA from Yale University and a CFA from AIMR. In 2007, he was chosen as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.
Swati Ramanathan is a Co-founder of Janaagraha, as well as the Founder of Jana Urban Space. Both institutions are founded with the aspiration for positive transformation in India’s cities and towns. A passionate believer that all change begins locally in neighbourhoods where people live, Janaagraha’s grassroots community work was strengthened multi-fold with the early adoption of technology for civic change, with platforms like “I Paid a Bribe” and “I Change my City” that resulted in a host of other online initiatives. Ms Ramanathan has been relentless in promoting the need for better urban design and urban planning in India. She has worked closely with governments – both national and state, on urban policy reforms such as integrated master planning, heritage conservation, and guaranteed land title. Her pioneering advocacy and work on progressive master planning – detailed in the “Smart City Spatial Planning and Development Guidelines”, has catalysed centrally supported schemes for city planning, and multiple states undertaking the revision of their plan documents. She has also worked with local governments for the design and delivery of projects with multi-agency complexities. Her brainchild, Tender S.U.R.E. (Specifications for Urban Roads Execution), is revolutionising the way urban roads are designed for all users, and laying clear standards for procurement. Ms Ramanathan has been recognised at several forums: named a Young Asian Leader by the Asia Society; received the Rajyotsava Puraskar from Rajasthan State Government; presented the Democracy and Civic Innovator Award by Madeline Albright for the National Democratic Institution in Washington, DC; honoured (along with Ramesh Ramanathan) by Forbes India as the Social Entrepreneurs of the Year in 2013.

She has also had stints in all major streams of media having worked in Economic Times and Dow Jones newswires for five years each.
Jayant Sinha is the Chairperson of the Parliamentary Standing Committee for Finance and a BJP MP from Hazaribagh, Jharkhand. In the past, he has served as Minister of State for Finance and Civil Aviation. Before his career in public service, Mr. Sinha was a Partner at Omidyar Network (ON) and a Partner at McKinsey & Company. He is the Founding Chairperson of the India Impact Investors Council. Mr. Sinha is a well-known expert on India’s IT/BPO and Telecom sectors and has authored two influential NASSCOM-McKinsey reports in 2000 and 2005. She has served in various capacities as Joint Secretary (AMRUT), MoHUA, as Managing Director of Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation and, as CEO of Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority, Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner in the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. She also served as Collector of Ahmedabad and Kheda districts in Gujarat. She has been championing municipal finance reforms in MoHUA through her extensive policy efforts in managing two major grant schemes, the 15th Finance Commission and AMRUT. She has also been a staunch supporter of improving the municipal debt market in India.

Prasad Gadkari is currently the Executive Director and Chief Strategy Officer at NIIF and is responsible for the Strategic Initiatives & Policy Advisory function. He has over two decades infrastructure investing experience across private equity, principal investments, joint ventures, project finance & advisory. Earlier, Mr. Gadkari used to be a Partner with IDFC Private Equity where he led the firm’s deals across transportation, urban infra, healthcare and education sectors. In a previous role, he was with General Electric (GE), where he focussed on infrastructure investing and joint ventures in the MENASA region. Prior to GE, he was with IDFC Ltd where he handled some of the earliest project financing transactions in the country. He was also a key member of the team that provided policy level inputs to the Govt. of India for the initial privatisation transactions.
Ashok Kumar Lahiri is an Indian economist currently serving as a member of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly from Balurghat. He was a full-time member of the 15th Central Finance Commission. Dr Lahiri previously served as 12th Chief Economic Adviser to the Government of India, reader at the Delhi School of Economics (DSE), non-executive, part-time chairman of Chairman of Bandhan Bank, Executive Director of the Asian Development Bank, and Director of the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy (NIPFP). He has had stints with the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), as a Consultant and Senior Economist, respectively. A passionate crusader on the matter of democratic decentralisation and local self-governance, Mr Vijayanand is constantly pursuing the cause of Panchayats and Panchayati Raj in the country.
Mr S Krishnan is a 1989 batch Indian Administrative Services officer currently serving as the secretary for the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) of Government of India. He has, over the last 32 years, held various roles, including the finance secretary for the state of Tamil Nadu, and the chief executive officer of the Tamil Nadu Infrastructure Board, Chairperson of Fifth State Finance Commission of Tamil Nadu. He has also worked in Government of India as Secretary to Finance Minister and Senior Advisor, Office of the Executive Director for India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Bhutan, International Monetary Fund, Washington DC.
Dr T K Sreedevi, IAS is currently Secretary in Finance Department of Government of Telangana. Sreedevi is doctorate in Agricultural Development from the International Crop Research Institute for Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT). She has been Commissioner and Director of Municipal Administration of Telangana in past. During her tenure as CDMA, he digitised 28 municipal services and provided online grievance redressal through the Citizen Buddy app and Citizen Services Centres. During her tenure as SDMA, she also oversaw property mapping of 14 lakh urban properties in 73 Urban Local Bodies, and revenue improvement, which earned her a place at the Prime Minister’s Coffee Table meet in 2018.
Dr Amar Patnaik is an academic, an author and a Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) from Odisha representing the Biju Janata Dal. He is also the party’s national spokesperson and head of the party’s IT wing. Before becoming a Member of Parliament, Dr Patnaik had a long career in Civil Services and is a former CAG official. He was associated with the United Nations and the World Bank for global external audit assignments. He was also the Team Leader of India’s External Audit Mission to many countries. Dr Patnaik was a British Chevening Gurukul Scholar in 2013 to pursue studies at the London School of Economics. He completed his PhD from XIMB, Bhubaneswar and his dissertation has been published as a scholarly work on public policy titled “Institutional Change and Power Asymmetry in the Context of Rural India”.
Prof. Amita Bhide is a professor at TISS- Mumbai, with teaching experience of over 20 years. Her research spans across urban development, governance, housing rights, and water and sanitation issues, primarily centred on Mumbai. Prof. Bhide's commitment to inclusive and sustainable urban development is exemplified through her leadership in the Transforming M Ward Project, aimed at addressing urban poverty and marginalised communities in Mumbai's poorest municipal ward. The geographic focus of her work is Mumbai while more recent engagement is with small and medium towns.
Arvind Bellad is a Member of the Legislative Assembly of Karnataka from the Bharatiya Janata Party since 2013. He has been instrumental in bringing about transformation in his constituency, Hubli-Dharwad West, where he initiated projects to start preschool in government schools, worked on developing and implementing clean energy in rural regions, and advocated for the establishment of IIT-Dharwad. Devashish Dhar is a Public Policy specialist and a renowned author. He has a Master’s degree in Public Policy from Lee Kuan Yew school of Public Policy and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School. He has nine years of experience in policy research, political and social consulting. He has served as a Public Policy Specialist at NITI Aayog and was a part of the core team that formed India’s first three-year Action Agenda. He was also a Raisina Young Fellow-elect for Asian Forum for Global Governance 2019, which includes his participation in Raisina Dialogue. He is the founder of Max Medical Foundation, an NGO, which caters to instil scientific temperament and eradicate superstitious practice in the health domain. National Spokesperson, Bharatiya Janata Party and Assistant Professor (Law), Patna University Dr Guru Prakash Paswan is an eminent Dalit scholar, and academic, who serves as a National spokesperson for the Bharatiya Janata Party. He is also the party’s State Secretary for Bihar. He teaches law at Patna University and has a keen interest in constitutional law. He has also co-authored “Makers of Modern Dalit History”. As Senior Infrastructure Adviser for the UK AID previously, he guided the technical assistance for India’s National Infrastructure Pipeline and was instrumental in establishing a Technical Facility for the Small Island Developing States for Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure.
As former Director of India’s National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA), he co-conceived the Smart Cities Mission and expanded its impact. He also guided the preparation of the Master Plan for Delhi 2041.
He is currently a trustee of Clean Air Asia, an international NGO; and serves on the technical advisory board for Tuned, an Italy-based initiative for using advanced research on the intersections of neuroscience and architecture.
Dr Joy Elamon, is a medical practitioner with a Master’s in Public Health. He has a keen interest and expertise in local governance, climate change, capacity development and participatory planning. Dr Elamon was part of the core team of the People’s Plan Campaign in Kerala when it was launched in 1996. Later, he served as the Chief Programme Coordinator of SDC-CapDecK Programme (Capacity Development for Decentralisation in Kerala) at the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). Subsequently, he served as the moderator of the Decentralisation Community of the UN Solution Exchange for the UN Country Team, India. Dr Elamon was included in the UNDP Democratic Governance Roster of Experts in Local Governance and Local Development. He is also a recipient of the Outstanding Community Builder award by UNDP India (Solution Exchange) in 2007. Currently, Dr Elamon serves as the Director General of the Kerala Institute of Local Administration
Kalpana Shivannah has served in various capacities in local governance in Karnataka, ranging from being a Zilla Parishad member and councillor to President of the Magadi Town Municipal Council in Ramanagara district representing the Indian National Congress. Manvita Baradi has more than 25 years of experience in local government programes. She's worked on various aspects like city planning, community engagement, and improving the capacities of local government organisations. She also played key roles in the National Urban Livelihood Mission and the HRIDAY mission in Dwarka, Gujarat. She has worked with USAID and as an expert for ADB, DIFID, and World Bank initiatives concentrating on local governance, and urban planning efforts in conflict-affected regions such as Afghanistan, Indonesia, and Sri Lanka. She is the Gujarat State Convener of Indian National Trust of Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH). A 1994 batch IAS officer, Mathi Vathanan has served in various capacities from being the mission director for the National Rural Health Mission to being Principal Secretary, Housing and Urban Development Department, Government of Odisha. He holds a Postgraduate degree from IIT-Madras. Mathi Vathanan leads the globally acclaimed Jaga Mission that is transforming the slums of Odisha into liveable habitats while politically empowering the slum dwellers with fourth-tier governance. Under his able leadership, Odisha did pioneering work in Faecal Sludge Management, delivered 100% piped water connections to homes, affordable meal scheme (Aahaar), and Garima, a scheme that is designed for the safety and dignity of manual scavengers.
E P Nivedita, IAAS is a 1993-batch Indian Audit and Accounts Services officer. As the former Principal Accountant General (General and Social Sector Audit) of Karnataka, in 2020, she led the seminal performance audit on the implementation of the 74th Constitutional Amendment Act in Karnataka. She has been involved in policy efforts such as the National Urban Sanitation Policy, Water and Sanitation (WSS) Service Level Benchmarks, and the Capacity Building Programme for Urban Local Bodies. She is the recipient of CAG’s Award for Excellence and Innovation in Audit for the Performance Audit Report on the Management of Stormwater in Bengaluru. Currently, Nivedita is the Executive Director and Chief Revenue Officer of National E-Governance Services Ltd, Bengaluru.
Dr Partha Mukhopadhyay is an economist with interests in the fields of urbanisation, infrastructure, and the development paths of India and China. He was part of the founding team at the Infrastructure Development Finance Company (IDFC), focusing on private participation in infrastructure. He was previously associated with the Export Import Bank of India, World Bank, IIM - Ahmedabad and has served as a chair for the Technical Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation. He holds a PhD from New York University and an M.Phil. from the Delhi School of Economics.
Prof. Rajeev Gowda is an accomplished public policy expert and economist. He has served as a Member of Parliament, (Rajya Sabha) from Karnataka and as a director on the Central Board of the Reserve Bank of India. He was also the chairperson of the Centre of Public Policy in IIM Bangalore, where he was part of the CSR initiative, i-WIL Programme, India's first certificate course in political leadership for women. Currently, he leads the Research Department of the Indian National Congress and is the Vice-Chairperson of the State Institute for the Transformation of Karnataka (SITK). With over 15 years of work experience in the fields of ecology, law and policy, Debadityo leads the Climate & Ecosystems initiative at Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy. As a co-founder of the Vindhyan Ecology & Natural History Foundation (Vindhya Bachao Abhiyan) and a member of the Bear Specialist Group under the IUCN Species Survival Commission, he actively contributes to conservation efforts of species and habitats.

Madhav has over 20 years of experience on the issues at the intersection of climate change and urbanisation. He joined WRI India in 2008 to become part of the Institute’s founding team and played a definitive leadership role at WRI India that has helped it reach its present position.
Under his leadership as Executive Director of WRI India Ross Center and Director of EMBARQ India, the team has supported implementation of several pioneering projects. Notable successes include the Indore BRT, the Mumbai Climate Action Plan (MCAP), the Raahgiri campaign for democratizing public streets, and the National Electric Bus Program (NEBP).

Shishir is the Development Advisor in India for the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF). He leads the development efforts for EDF in India. EDF’s work in India is centred on playing a catalytic role towards a vision of an Indian pathway to shared, sustainable, prosperity.
Shishir started his career in sales, banking operations and client relationships with ICICI Bank, Standard Chartered and Kotak Mahindra. After having spent close to decade and a half in banking he moved to the development sector and joined Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation working on advancing India’s development goals, particularly related to clean energy and climate change. As head of partnerships, he facilitated the foundation and several other donor organisations commit their philanthropic resources in India. Shishir is deeply familiar with the philanthropic landscape and has worked in partnership with U.S. and European donors.
Shruti has almost 20 years of global work experience specialising in energy efficiency and sustainability.

Her expertise spans several areas, including faecal sludge management, Sanitation Service Delivery, Citywide Inclusive Sanitation, Monitoring Learning and Evaluation in WaSH, City Sanitation Planning, Decentralised Wastewater Management, and Shit Flow Diagram. Dr. Singhal is an active member of the International Water Association and the Bureau of Indian Standards, contributing to the formulation of water-related standards. Additionally, she has led a technical and program support team in Uttar Pradesh, focusing on mainstreaming FSSM. Her current responsibilities involve leading research on biosolids' reuse and recycling and supervising the team's endeavors.

Dr Bhargav Krishna is a Fellow and member of the founding team at the Sustainable Futures Collaborative, an independent research organisation that examines the frontier issues of climate change, the energy transition, and environmental challenges in India and globally. Bhargav's research interests span areas of health policy, environmental policy, and environmental epidemiology, with a focus on the impact of air quality and climate change on health. Previously, Bhargav was affiliated with the Centre for Policy Research and the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) for over a decade. At the latter, he set up and managed the Centre for Environmental Health to lead work on air quality, climate, and health. In these capacities, he has served on Union and State government expert committees on air pollution, biomedical waste, and critically polluted areas. He has also carried out work on health systems and sustainable development across several states.

Over the years, Nalini has trained hundreds of waste pickers on new ways of solid waste management and helped develop their skill to become waste management professionals. In addition, she has worked with state officials, students and citizens, creating awareness of the need for sustainable waste management practices and integration of waste pickers.
In a career spanning 33 years, Nalini has won many accolades including the Kempegowda Award 2015, from the City of Bengaluru. In 2015, she was chosen as one of 100 women in India who have made a difference in the society by BBC.Com.
Shirish has over 20 years of experience in the development of policy making and project/programme implementation in the field of energy, climate change and sustainable development policy.
Prior to joining CIFF, Shirish worked with the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) in India as Deputy Head of Cooperation, where he led on the delivery of bilateral cooperation programmes on climate science and climate resilient development in the Himalayas.
Before SDC, Shirish was the Head of Climate & Energy Programme at the World Wide Fund for Nature – India (WWF India). Prior to this, Shirish worked at Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC) India as the Principal Consultant and was responsible for rural electrification and renewable energy policy and regulatory advisory.

He had also served as a member of the National Security Advisory Board that acts as an advisory body to the National Security Council of India. Mr. Vikas Gupta is an IAS officer of the Haryana cadre from the 1991 batch with a distinguished career in public administration and finance. He currently serves as the Commissioner & Secretary of the Department of Urban Local Bodies (DULB), Haryana where he plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing urban governance, local administration, and development within the state. He is also CEO of Haryana Parivar Pehchan Authority (HPPA). HPPA is a Statutory Authority established by Government of Haryana with an objective to ensure an efficient & effective delivery of Government services & schemes to citizens of the State in a proactive manner using digital technology. He has also served as the Member Secretary of the 6th State Finance Commission of Haryana. In the past, Mr. Gupta has been Municipal Commissioner of Gurugram and Rohtak.
With a background in public service and a keen interest in fostering sustainable urban development, Mr. Gupta has been instrumental in driving various initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life for citizens in urban areas.
He is a career civil servant who retired from the position of Deputy Comptroller and Auditor General in the rank of a Secretary to the Government of India after a career of almost four decades in the areas of Audit, Finance and Governance. He was also the Chairperson of the Government Accounting Standards Advisory Board, tasked with introducing accrual accounting in the public sector. He had worked in India and abroad besides being the Accountant General of several states in India. He has worked as a Subject Matter Expert for several foreign governments and international organisations and audited the UN and its agencies.
He is currently a Senior Advisor in Janagraha, working in the PFM area. He is currently a member of the International Advisory Board of Public Expenditure and Financial Accountability, promoted jointly by the World Bank, IMF and EU along with some countries for Public Financial management, and a Distinguished Fellow of Arun Jaitley National Institute of Financial Management, where he works on specific projects for the MoF, Govt of India. He is also a Consultant for the World Bank in their Macroeconomics practice.

In that capacity as head of Communitisation @Anamaya - Tribal Health Collaborative, he has led strategic partnerships at senior ranks in ministries such as NITI Aayog, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Women & Child Development, Tribal Affairs, and other Multilateral & international organizations. He also led the Advisory and Government relations practice of Piramal Swasthya. He is passionate about improving the lives of vulnerable communities and has developed a deep understanding of the functioning of the public health system in India, especially in the remote and backward districts of states such as Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Assam among others. Nidhi Bali brings 16+ years of experience in roles at international development organisations, foundations and consulting firms and has engaged with senior levels of Central and State Governments in India.
As the Principal and Head – Research at Sattva, Nidhi leads research advisory where she works with governments, foundations, and non-profits across areas including climate and environment, green growth and transitions, skilling and livelihoods among others.
Before joining Sattva, Nidhi worked with UNICEF. She has also worked with Smart Power India (SPI), a subsidiary of the Rockefeller Foundation. She holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Computer Engineering from Sardar Patel University. She also earned a Post Graduate Diploma in Management, Rural Management from the Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA). She is committed to contributing to a more collaborative world that unlocks meaningful opportunities for the unserved and underserved.
Raman Mehta has been working on climate change adaptation and mitigation for the past decade and a half. He has also had relevant experience in local governance and community organising. At Vasudha Foundation, he is engaged with all aspects of Localising Climate Action as well as Estimating GHG Emissions in Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Kerala. He is also involved in the Vasudha Foundation’s ongoing work on the India Climate and Energy Dashboard (ICED) that has been developed in collaboration with the NITI Aayog.
Earlier, Mr Mehta had been extensively involved in the international negotiations on climate change at the UNFCCC as a team member of the International Climate Policy team of ActionAid International as well as Co-Chair of the Climate Action Network Finance Working Group. He was also the Senior Climate Change Advisor at the British High Commission. He has also been engaged in executing the Punjab component of a consultancy project funded by GIZ titled Climate Change Adaptation in Rural Areas of India – Phase II. We are engaged in lobbying for reforms in the power sector subsidies in Punjab through synchronised and conditional switching of incentives for more water-efficient methods of cultivating rice in the state.
Mr Mehta has worked with the Supreme Court Commissioner to report on forestry and other allied matters in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands in India. As an Assistant Lead consultant he has also been involved in the evaluation of the GEF Biodiversity Portfolio Assessment. He was a part of the team at the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA) that had developed the first cohort of Ecodevelopment Plans for 9 Protected Areas in 1993-94. He has also worked on aspects of institutional structures and their preparedness to promote sustainable development for the UNDP and the MoEFCC.
Dr Suparana Katyaini is an interdisciplinary socio-ecological researcher with a specialisation in water resources governance. She brings together natural and social sciences aspects to bridge the knowledge and governance divide. Her focal areas are the water-food-energy nexus for advancing resource security, sustainable and inclusive development, and mainstreaming climate action in the water sector.
Before joining CEEW, she was an Assistant Professor (Natural Resources and Governance) at Tata Institute of Social Sciences Hyderabad, where she built the capacity of M.A. students on socio-ecological research, approaches to conservation and development, and understanding climate change. She also developed a research project on ‘Higher Education on Climate Change and Sustainable Development’ as a part of the Climate U network.
Her post-doctoral research on representing people vulnerable to disaster risk for advancing inclusive development was a collaborative effort between the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, and Wageningen University, The Netherlands. With her keen interest in exploring the gender and water thematic area, she received the inaugural Vera Thiess Fellowship from the International River Foundation, Australia. Through the fellowship, she documented indigenous women's voices on advancing female participation in river and water management from the Brahmaputra basin.
She has a doctoral degree from IIT Guwahati on ‘Science-Policy Interface to Mitigate Water Scarcity in India: An Assessment of Virtual Water Flows’ which looked at the issue of water scarcity through the lens of water-food nexus. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring remote locations and learning about the everyday lives of people, and their connection with nature.
Vaishnavi. T. G. Shankar is an urban development practitioner with 13 years of experience, primarily centred around climate change and cities. Her expertise spans policy outreach, capacity building, research, and program management with a strong focus on urban climate governance, adaptation and disaster resilience, community resilience, and revitalization of heritage settlements and informal settlements.
In her current role as a lead at the Climate Centre for Cities within the National Institute of Urban Affairs, Vaishnavi focuses on enhancing local capacities for implementing climate measures, fostering collaborative partnerships, and providing technical expertise for advocacy, as well as developing advisories, frameworks and tools. She leads the Urban Act project, an initiative for integrated urban climate action for low-carbon & resilient cities in South East Asia and has previously led the development of flood resilience strategies for 5 Indian cities and climate assessments for 126 cities.
Vaishnavi has prior experience working with Mahila Housing SEWA Trust, India Habitat Forum and the Centre for Conservation Studies, CEPT University. She is a Chevening Scholar and holds a Master's degree in 'Urbanization and Development' from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from the B.M.S College of Engineering, Bangalore.
Vijay has over 45 years of professional experience across fields. He served in the Indian Army for twenty years, later leading some of the marquee corporates in the travel and hospitality industry. He is the former CEO of Bharti Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Bharti Enterprises, one of India’s leading business groups. His army background has inspired many events to inculcate a sense of patriotism and integrity within him. Vijay is also the Chairman of the Managing Committee at Modern School, Barakhamba Road, one of the elite schools of India. He is a part of various National Committees in the area of Education, Skill Development and CSR. A graduate of National Defence Academy, India and the Canadian Forces Command and Staff College, Canada; Vijay went on to complete his M.Sc. in Defence Studies from Madras University.
Aanandita Sikka is an Analyst at CPI, where her work focuses on development and green and sustainable finance. Her projects focus on increasing investment in climate action through public and private sources. Aanandita’s expertise lies in urban development, policy and regulation analysis and building tools and frameworks for nudging climate action. Before CPI, she worked as an Associate at Athena Infonomics, supporting national and local governments across Asia and Africa to improve public service delivery. She also holds a certification in Human Rights Law from King’s College London and a certification in Sustainability and Climate Risk (SCR) by the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP).
Mr. Abdul Wajid is the president of the Bangalore North District congress committee. Prior to this, Mr. Wajid served as the corporator of BBMP from 2015 to 2020. He was also the leader of the opposition party in BBMP. Additionally, he served as the president of National Students' Union of India (NSUI), Bangalore city.
Aditi comes with extensive public-private partnerships, technology policy, innovation and consulting experience of around two decades spread across the globe notably in Europe, the US, and Australia working at leaderships positions with organizations such as the World Economic Forum (WEF) and PwC. As the Director - Strategic Initiatives, Aditi is leading the Capacity Accelerator Network (CAN) to unlock the data use potential for social impact in India, launched recently with data.org. Before joining JPAL, Aditi was the Chief Partnerships Officer (CPO) of Reserve Bank of India’s Innovation Hub. Aditi is an ambassador for women-led tech NGOs and communities championing the innovation agenda for women. She has authored papers and been on panels on Innovation and tech agenda through her corporate and academic pursuits.
Archit is an EV enthusiast and brings with him strong experience in the clean mobility sector. He has interacted with over 2,800 companies in clean mobility tech, land base and airborne systems, and has worked to convene diverse stakeholders in the sector. He led and implemented the Urban Mobility Lab workshop to accelerate the adoption of EVs in southern India in partnership with central and state level institutions. He holds a degree VIT Pune in industrial and production engineering. At Climate Trends, he provides strategic insights from the EV ecosystem to support communication strategies.
Arun Krishnan is a Manager at CPI’s Delhi office, where he leads the India regional program of the Global Innovation Lab in Climate Finance. With over 15 years of experience, his expertise lies in climate change, urban infrastructure, transport, smart cities, and airports. He is an industry speaker and has published articles focusing on climate and infrastructure. Prior to CPI, Arun has worked at McKinsey and KPMG, and is a visiting faculty at Indian Institutes of Management where he also mentors startups incubated at FIED. He has worked in deal advisory, climate/project finance, public policy, and public-private partnerships. He has advised on infrastructure deals worth more than $1 billion in India, the Netherlands, Saudi Arabia, Canada and Singapore.
Mr. Arvind Kumar is a Senior Advisor for Strategic Partnerships with the USAID/India Mission Health Office. He has over 25 years of experience in program management, alliance building, strategic purchasing, public private partnerships, market shaping, and innovative financing. Mr. Kumar has managed more than $100 million dollars of development funds and has worked on a wide range of health topics such as COVID, Primary Care, Health Systems Strengthening, Gender, Equity and Climate-Health.
In his role as the Strategic Partnerships Advisor, Kumar works closely with diverse stakeholders including policy makers, corporations, industry associations, and consulting firms to leverage private sector resources to accelerate development goals.
Darshil has more than 5 years of professional experience working with state government and urban local bodies. He has worked extensively on project delivery, working mostly on bid process management, situation assessment reports, tariff feasibility study, policy development and proposal documents.
Currently working at System Level Solutions - a concept built on enhancing the EV ecosystem and paving the path for sustainable and clean mobility, Harsh is responsible for overseeing the Business strategy, planning, and execution for the company that serves B2B clientele. His previous work includes being a Supply Chain Executive at Micelio Mobility and a Project Engineer at Energy Bite. Harsh is a Bachelor of Technology, Mechanical engineering from Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology.
Kachina Chawla is an advisor to USAID and the Director of Lighthouse Health Solutions LLP, a consulting company with extensive experience in health policy development, capacity building and institutional strengthening. She previously served as the managing director of Gharkamai, a portal that connects businesses with seasoned professionals for project-based work. She has also worked as a consultant to Urban Health Initiative in projects such as developing toolkits that provides key stakeholders with lessons learned through the 5-year project life cycle and creating city-specific mid-term data result papers for all stake holders. Prior to this, she served in various roles at Cardno Emerging Markets for the MCH-STAR initiative.

Mridula Pandey is the Manager – Climate Change at the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), Prior to this, she worked as a Programme Executive at the Ministry of Finance, UNDP where her work involved tracking developments in the global climate change landscape, conducting macroeconomic and policy research, and preparing detailed technical briefs to support the Ministry in international climate finance negotiations. She holds a master's in arts, Economics from Jamia Millia Islamia university.
Nayanika leads fundraising and strategy, channelling her commitment to empowering leaders and driving innovation for positive outcomes at Reap Benefit. She is a political science graduate with an MSc in Global Politics, who is deeply passionate about nurturing leaders and believes in the potential of every individual for positive change. She has a background as an Education Fellow in the Delhi Government, where she played a key role in developing the Deshbhakti Curriculum, India’s first state-wide socio-emotional-ethical-learning curriculum. With a broad range of experience in the non-profit sector, including areas like WASH, rural development, governance and administrative reforms, CSR, women entrepreneurship, and art and design, Nayanika has a strong inclination for research, data analysis, and behavior science, which she uses to inform her strategic approach.

Dr. Ruchika Singh is the Executive Program Director of Food, Land, and Water at WRI India, with more than two decades of experience working on environmental and developmental issues, providing leadership, and building programs. At WRI India, she provides overall strategic direction on how to inform India’s transition towards sustainable food and land use systems with a focus on strengthening the food systems. She has worked in interdisciplinary environments with diverse actors -local communities, grassroots-level institutions, government departments, NGOs, bilateral and multilateral organizations, partner organizations, and funders at various levels.
Ruchika holds a PhD (magna cum laude) in Development Studies (with a focus on water governance) from the Center for Development Research (ZEF), University of Bonn. She also holds a double master's in politics from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and a master's in development studies from the International Institute of Social Studies, The Hague part of the Erasmus University Rotterdam. Ruchika is an alumnus of Xavier Institute of Social Service and Delhi University. She is a recipient of the NUFFIC Fellowship award for master's in development studies at ISS, the Graduate Assistantship Award for master's in political science at UMass, Amherst, a DAAD Doctoral fellowship at ZEF, University of Bonn, and a Fieldwork research grant from Dr. Hermann Eiselen Ph.D. Grant from the Fiat Panis Foundation.

Tahira was the Country Director for India at PYXERA Global, where she leads PYXERA Global’s work to bring together the public, private, and social sectors to find solutions to social challenges and improve the lives of communities across India. Tahira has spent nearly 15 years working in the development sector in India with developmental and environmental organizations, helping them grow and scale up their impact. Before joining PYXERA Global, Tahira spent 10 years at the World Resources Institute, helping set up WRI in India.
Teenu J Thaikattil is a Research Associate in the Buildings and Communities Vertical division of AEEE. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Anna University and a Master of Urban Design degree from the College of Engineering Trivandrum. She is a registered architect with the Council of Architects and an associate member of the Institute of Urban Designers India. She has served as an assistant professor at the Government Engineering College, Thrissur, Kerala, and the School of Art and Architecture, Sushant University in Gurgaon, where she gained expertise in capacity building and research cell coordination. Her research areas of interest are Behavioural Urbanism and Net Zero Neighbourhood. Her career objective is to apply design-based research to eliminate disparities in the urban development sector.
Vinay started with Samhita in 2016 in the Research and Knowledge team and went on to handle strategic partnerships with key donors. He worked with Piramal Foundation’s water initiative Sarvajal. At Sarvajal, Vinay led the New Product Development team and was instrumental in driving product expansion into water conservation and Government partnerships, including with NITI Aayog and NSDC
