Janaagraha Centre for Citizenship and Democracy, in collaboration with Omidyar Network, Shakti Foundation, and Dasra, hosted an exclusive consultation in Bengaluru on municipal finance reforms within India’s municipalities. The closed-door workshop, which took place on October 30th, 2018, gathered more than 30 experts from both government and civil society. The primary focus was on swiftly identifying and addressing the challenges, exploring pragmatic solutions, and devising effective pathways to implement reforms in the municipal finance domain.
