The ‘first and last mile’ connection describes the beginning or end of an individual tripmade primarily on foot and/or public transportation. Therefore, in order to assess the adequacy of transport infrastructure (in terms of motorised and non-motorised transport) in and around the public transport area that facilitates citizens to commute comfortably from their residence to their destination and vice versa, a survey was conducted in the Banasawadi and Gottigere wards of Bengaluru. The survey assessed the parameters of accessibility, comfort, and safety. Citizens were asked 13 questions each and a total of 200 responses were collected to understand citizen perception regarding first and last mile connectivity with respect to ease of accessing public transport. This report contains findings and insights from the survey.
