While the BBMP’s financial management has been under scrutiny for several years, other civic agencies have largely escaped attention and appear to perform just as poorly, if not worse, in certain aspects. Surprisingly, in some areas, the BBMP has shown notable improvement over the past year. It is imperative for the State Government to swiftly implement financial management reforms across these civic agencies to achieve the twin goals of financial sustainability and financial accountability.
