Srikanth Viswanathan
Chief Executive Officer
Srikanth is an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and prior to Janaagraha worked with Standard Chartered Bank and KPMG for 10 years. In his role as Chief Executive Officer, Srikanth steers the strategy with an oversight on operations.
Sapna Karim
Head – Civic Participation
Sapna joined Janaagraha right from its inception 15 years ago. In her time at Janaagraha, she has worked in various citizen campaigns in the early years and with government in technology related interventions. She has also anchored HR & Volunteer Management for ten years.
Shivkumar Menon
Head – Development
Shivkumar Menon has over 18 years of experience in Business development. A commerce graduate from Mumbai University and a post graduate in Business Management from XLRI. He has held diverse senior management positions in his last stint at Dun & Bradstreet India. In his current role at Janaagraha he heads Fund Raising and Strategic Partnerships. He is also part of the Executive Committee headed by the Chief Executive Officer.
Katie Pyle
Head – Research & Insights
Katie comes with more than eleven years’ experience in a combination of project management, social research, and research implementation. She previously worked with National Foundation for Educational Research (NFER) based in the UK. She was also an operations manager with NFER’s Trials unit. Katie has a BSc. (hons) in Psychology from the University of Warwick and an MSc. (with distinction) in Applied Sport and Exercise Psychology from the University of Wales, Bangor.
Srinivas Alavilli
Head – Civic Participation
Srinivas Alavilli heads the Civic Participation team in Janaagraha that is responsible for various programs and projects that strive to increase citizen participation in local governance. He is also responsible for delivering the pioneering CivicTech platform called IChangeMyCity currently being used by lakhs of citizens and officials across thousands of cities in India.
Srinivas conceptualized #CityPolitics a unique forum that brings politicians, citizens, civil society organizations together to discuss, debate issues related to participatory urban governance. Srinivas strongly believes that when we build trust between politicians and citizens, we can transform governance.
Srinivas joined Janaagraha in July 2020 after a 23 year stint in the software industry Sun Microsystems and Oracle (California, USA and Bengaluru). In 2016, Srinu co-founded Citizens for Bengaluru (CfB) a grassroots citizen movement that spearheaded several high decibel public campaigns (#SteelFlyoverBeda #ChukuBukuBeku #BusBhagyaBeku) promoting public transport and played an instrumental role in making ward committees functional after many years of being stuck on paper.
Srinivas was one of the co-founders of Corruption Saaku! An anti corruption movement in Bengaluru that later became part of India Against Corruption. Srinivas was also associated with Lok Satta Party as their communications lead and worked on several elections as campaign manager.
