After conducting an impact evaluation that included both pre- and post-civic literacy surveys among Bala Janaagraha and non-Bala Janaagraha students, as well as a series of focus group discussions, it is clear that the program is achieving its intended impact. A central objective of the Bala Janaagraha program is to enhance civic knowledge among its participants. The results are promising: across all schools and students who participated in the program during the 2015-16 academic year, civic literacy survey scores increased by an average of 14 percent from the pre-survey to the post-survey.
