Introducing the Teacher’s Guide to the Indian Constitution for Standard VIII, aligned with the NCERT curriculum. This guide, a part of Janaagraha’s civic learning program developed in collaboration with Young Leaders for Active Citizenship (YLAC), aims to equip students with a clear understanding of the Constitution’s significance and the ideals it embodies. Students will explore the distinctions between monarchy, dictatorship, and democracy and grasp why checks and balances are vital in democratic governance. By the end of this module, students will not only recognize different forms of government but will also be familiar with their key elements, fostering informed and engaged citizens in India’s democratic framework.
